It may not sound particularly overpowered at first, but Long Whip grants you excellent horizontal and vertical movement, and can Phantom Abyss Gameplay allow you to blitz safely through entire rooms of hazards, especially when used in conjunction with Wings.

It gets very fast. Some people say that if it is turning it moves slower. As far as I have seen, by the end of the caverns, it will pretty much not be falling behind and will overtake you even if you are running, so you take your headstart and keep running to finish levels after that.

The more successful runs you put in, the more of the Adventure Mode’s four core currencies you unlock — one from each major zone — which can be spent on permanent upgrades, like extra health or a stronger whip crack.
